Welcome to the Website of Maryland Bee

Our website is intended as an informational resource
for consumers and beekeepers.

We are currently running a crowdfunding project to highlight the importance of pollinators and their unfortunate decline. Check out Stung: In Search of Honey Bees

Longtime beekeeper, scientist and science writer Kirsten S. Traynor lyrically intertwines the joy found in working a hive with some of the daunting problems facing the industry.

Any additional funds raised above the goal will help turn the article
into a full-length book on our globe-trotting beekeeping adventures.

Please help make this project a success by sharing the link with bee enthusiasts and people who care about the environment. Thank a pollinator for every 3rd bite we eat, everything from almonds to zucchini. New backers in the first 10 days of the campaign result in an extra $5 donation.
